Alexander Isaac should be the first Swede to win Ballon d’Or

No Swedish has ever succeeded.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Tomas Brolin have been closest.
Alexander Isak can be the first in history to bring Ballon d’O home to Sweden.

This is a comment. The views are the writer’s own.

It is completely senseless what target form Alexander Isaac are in right now. He recently scored eight straight league matches in the Premier League and has hit Swedish record listings on running bands – but it will not end there.

Isaac’s super success

It really is a success story 25-year-old is out right now. Many thought he would have a hard time in “the world’s best football league” but Isaac has disproved everyone.

The first season in Newcastle was 10 goals in 27 league matches, many of which are hopped, but season two in England would be so much better. Alexander struck with incredible 21 goals in 30 league matches and erased out Zlatan Ibrahimovics Svenskrimord.

But this season is really unparalleled in Sweden’s football history. It is hardly possible to understand that Isaac has scored 17 goals in 21 league matches, is third in the PL shooting league and is included in the discussion as one of the world’s best strikers.

Win Ballon d’Or?

Many also claim that he is the host’s best striker right now, in terms of pure target form. Then just a big question remains: Can Alexander Isak become the first Swede ever to win desirable Ballon d’Or?

I have started to dare to dream about it. That a guy from Ulriksdal in Solna should be allowed to put his hands around that gold ball distributed by France Football to the best player of the planet. Wow, what a feeling!

The closest Swedish football has come Ballon d’Or is Tomas Brolin who finished four in the vote in 1994 and Zlatan which also became four in 2013. To Zlatan’s defense he got tamped with the dragons Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldowhich was impossible to transcend for many years.

The next move determines

Nowadays it is more open than ever and a real big move to one of Europe’s most powerful club teams this summer opens up brand new doors for Isaac. He still has maybe 10 years left of his career and if he continues to spit goals in this way, just the sky is the limit.

The only thing that speaks to is that he represents the Swedish national team and the chance of some heavy title with blue -yellow is unfortunately minimal. Therefore, he must invest in the club team level to reach right up to the most prestigious award of the football world.

The next move will be absolutely crucial and it will be so extremely interesting to see what he chooses when the biggest clubs line up with fat contracts. The future is yours, Alex!
