Criminal networks in Sweden pose an ever-increasing threat to communities in northern Norway, the police there are alerting after a crackdown.
The police in Troms county are calling a press conference about this on Wednesday.
“At the press conference, the police will talk about the threat from Swedish criminal networks in Troms, as well as about an extensive investigation in the near future where eight people have been arrested and where narcotics, cash and firearms have been seized,” reads a first press release from the police district.
“Through the investigation, we also see that the relationship with Swedish networks goes back several years.”
The county of Troms is located in the north of Sweden and has up to 170,000 inhabitants in total. The biggest city there is Tromsø.
