Barkov injured his leg in the second game of the season and has been sidelined for eight games.
The Finnish captain of the Florida Panthers of the NHL hockey league Alexander Barkov is fit to play when the Panthers, who are playing in Tampere at the end of the week, face the Buffalo Sabers on away ice the night before Tuesday.
Panthers head coach Paul Maurice said that Barkov is returning to real action, wrote a member of Florida’s media team Jameson Olive message service in X.
Barkov injured his leg in the second game of the season and has been sidelined for eight games.
The injury happened at a bad time, just weeks before the NHL games to be played in his hometown of Tampere against the Dallas Stars. The Panthers hoped that the skipper would recover in time for the matches played on Friday and Saturday, and the wishes were answered.
