Vianen – Alderman John van der Velden of Vijfheerenlanden is stepping down. Mayor Sjors Fröhlich read his letter of resignation in the council meeting tonight. In it, the alderman writes that he feels compelled to resign because he “experiences insufficient confidence” in the performance of his aldermanship.
