In his earlier work as a member of the Amsterdam City Council, he already received hate messages, and because of his work as an alderman it has not diminished. In Amersfoort he is responsible for animal welfare, sustainable living environment and biodiversity. “Whatever measures you take, you are always at least an idiot or fool. Unfortunately it goes beyond that.”
Alderman makes threats public: “You can break your neck if you don’t pay attention!”
