Alcohol is so much more expensive now – the tax

On January 1, 2024, not only did several new laws and regulations come into force, but several tax changes also came into force.

One such change applies to the alcohol tax, which has been raised for the second year in a row. At the turn of the year 2022/2023, the tax on beer and wine was raised by five percent, while the tax on spirits was raised by one percent, and now alcohol will thus become even more expensive.
