Vitoria is a city that loves Carnival. In fact, the comparsas took to the streets on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning: Romans, Molino Rojo, where’s Wally?, musketeers or savages from the barbarian tribes. John Guidetti, however, did not go out with any group or float, but he did make an appearance on the street dressed as Superman.
It shouldn’t surprise us since, for example, his Twitter profile is “Superguidetti”. Not that Mendilibar is counting on him much, as he wasn’t even called up to Getafe on Saturday afternoon. The Swede took the opportunity to disguise himself as a superman and went out into the street accompanied by his family.
Guidetti has failed in Vitoria, it cannot be said otherwise. It came as the most expensive transfer in the club’s history (4 million euros) and has barely counted for his coaches. He doesn’t even travel with the team now, like Saúl, although last week he had some muscle discomfort.
