Behind the solemn side, this meeting aims in particular to present the activities of the 47 regional coordinators appointed in May 2024. These officials embody, in a way, a form of “decentralization” of the management of the party at the base. They must be close to the concerns of the populations, underlines the president Alassane Ouattara who therefore encouraged his troops to take to the field.
Kobénan Kouassi Adjoumani, the main spokesperson for the RHDP. “ 1.141 million activists have been enrolled in the RHDP e-militant database. Furthermore, the RHDP has set itself a target of 1.2 million potential first-time voters to be registered on the electoral lists. »
Among the difficulties encountered is cohesion with certain activists, who had defied party directives by running under an independent label last year in the local elections. “ The president of the RHDP asked us to reach out to them and make peace », insists the party spokesperson.
Beyond the mobilization around the revision of the electoral lists, the party will also have to prepare a Congress, the date of which has not yet been set.
