The timber industry in northern Sweden is sounding the alarm about a timber shortage. This after an announcement from the state forestry company Sveaskog about a sharp reduction in its felling in Norrbotten. For Jutos Timber, it will be a big break. Sveaskog accounts for more than half of the timber deliveries to the company’s two sawmills. – We currently have approximately one week’s worth of production in stock. Of course we are worried, says the company’s CEO Anette Jönsson to TV4 Nyheterna. See a feature on the timber crisis above.
