Shortly before 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening, an alarm was received about a shooting at the subway in Bagarmossen in southern Stockholm, according to information from TV4 News.
– We have received information that a person may have fired a weapon on the platform, says the police spokesperson Carina Skagerlind to TV4.
Large ongoing police operation in Bagarmossen
To The evening paper says Skagerlind that the place is cordoned off and that a large police operation is underway.
– The helicopter is usually connected on these occasions, she tells the newspaper.
The police report that no one was found injured.
A number of people have been checked at the scene, but the search for a perpetrator is still ongoing.
– We will see if it leads to a possible arrest. Also, this is an area with a lot of cameras, says Carina Skagerlind.
Train stop between Kärrtorp and Skarpnäck
There is currently a stop in traffic between Kärrtorp and Skarpnäck stations. Replacement buses have been ordered.
