It was at 23:48 on Tuesday that the police command center (RLC) received an alarm about an unconscious woman in a residence in central Kalix.
– Patrol was quickly on the scene and the woman had been robbed and subjected to violence. At the same time, we received information about a suspected perpetrator, says duty officer David Levy.

Found during the house search
Barely an hour after the alarm came in, at 00:45, the police searched an apartment.
– We found the designated man and also stolen goods. He was arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery or robbery and taken to the jail, says Levy.
The woman was taken to medical care, but the extent of her injuries is unknown. The police confirm that the perpetrator and the victim know each other from before and are both 45 years old.
The lawyer: Make the punishment tougher
During Wednesday morning, the man was arrested and the case is now being led by prosecutors.
