Alarm about Sis queues: “Very serious” | SVT News

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

About 60 children and young people who live in addiction, crime and with serious mental illness are without Sis placement before Christmas. The queues are growing.

– It is a very serious situation, says Malin Östling, director of operations for Si’s youth care south, to SVT Nyheter.

The situation is worst for schoolgirls. In the Stockholm area, many of those without housing are around 13 years old. A source who works at a school tells SVT that staff there and social services fear that some who are not given a place may die or kill someone.
