This is some of the information that an anonymous tipster sent to the Inspectorate for Care and Care, Ivo.
“It is serious and undignified”, writes the person.
Several accusations of neglect have been directed at a nursing home in Västerbotten, reports the Siren news agency. In a report to Ivo, the tipster, who claims to be employed within the business, writes that the residents suffer from malnutrition and also raises the alarm about serious deficiencies in hygiene.
“The elderly are dirty with faeces under their fingernails and some of the elderly have to lie for a long time in faeces and urine without getting help to change incontinence pads,” the report states.

In addition, the care plans are not followed as they should be and, according to the complainant, the residents can go without food for well over 15 hours.
“Nothing is documented by the staff in the medical record. It is serious and undignified”.
According to Siren, some parts of the data have been confirmed by lex Sarah notifications regarding the business.
Two lex Sarah reports from employees at the residence have also established that residents have not had their incontinence pads changed in recent months.
