S: prematurely make a decision on squad to Ukraine

Sweden, like other European countries, has received a request from the United States about what can be set up with in a possible peace agreement with Ukraine.

The Social Democrats believe that the issue of sending peacekeeping troops to Ukraine is “very early”.

    – I think it is far too early to decide, says Morgan Johansson (S), foreign political spokesperson, to TT on the way to the Foreign Committee’s meeting.

He believes that a Swedish effort must be based on the fact that there is a peace agreement with peacekeeping forces. He also points out that Sweden traditionally goes in with such strengths only when there is a UN mandate for it.

    – If you are going to do such a thing, then there must be a peace agreement that is long -term and stable.
