The rescue service was alerted to a drowning in Lake Trekanten on Liljeholmen in southern Stockholm on Tuesday evening.
– It’s a group that went swimming and all of a sudden a person is missing who is thought to have disappeared under the water, says Christer Wahlström, commanding officer at the rescue service.
Divers and surface rescuers searched for the person and shortly after 9 p.m. it was announced that the person had been found.
– One person has been taken to hospital, says Ola Nilsson, SOS Alarm team leader.
The extent of the damage is unclear.
