The emergency services have received several alarms about a strong smell in a residential building in western Stockholm.
– We are on site and can smell a strong smell, says Marie Nordahl at the rescue service to The evening paper.
According to witnesses to Aftonbladet, some of the police patrols are wearing gas masks.
– It is true that we are there. Several have called in. We are there and assist the rescue service, says the police spokesperson Nadia Norton to Aftonbladet.
A resident of the apartment building that was hit tells Aftonbladet that she left the building.
– The throat itches. It smells like burnt plastic and I’ve been coughing a lot, she says.
It is still unclear what caused the smell and whether residents will be evacuated from the house.
