Akuma Gouki is available with a rebalancing update

Having become a half-bestial, half-demon being, Akuma / Gouki is finally available in Street Fighter 6. Two months after its announcement, the master of Ryu and Ken therefore enriches the cast of Capcom’s fighting game, which benefits from its presence to also make a major update in combat balancing. Of course, like the other DLC characters, Akuma / Gouki arrives with his three game modes, and therefore take advantage of him in the Fighting Ground, World Tour mode and the Battle Hub. All of this means that you’re going to spend time with this iconic character from the Street saga, especially since he’s back with lore around him that seems super interesting. Here is what you should remember about the new features:

Street Fighter 6

  • Giant Akuma : a brand new Raid event in the Battle Hub – “ Giant Attack » – pits all players on each Battle Hub server against an oversized Akuma! Players will need to accumulate Attack Points by completing various activities, join other fighters in the Battle Hub, then launch a mega-powerful Hadoken to defeat the gigantic enemy with special rewards until May 31!

  • Power test against SIRN Akuma : a stronger, fiercer and smarter version of Akuma can be faced on one of the special Battle Hub terminals and can win exclusive rewards.

  • Suit 3 : enough to redo your wardrobe for the four additional characters from the first year of Street Fighter 6: Akuma, Ed, AKI and Rashid!

  • Major combat balance update : The release of the last DLC character of Year 1 comes with gameplay adjustments for all fighters. All changes are detailed here.

  • New game mechanics: all 22 characters now have a brand new move, the “Recovery Drive Reversal” which can be performed by getting up after a fall.

Street Fighter 6

  • New combo challenges : new challenges for a selection of characters to take on, taking into account the latest combat balance updates.

  • Custom music tuning and new music bundles : it is now possible to listen to the musical tracks of your choice during combat. A new selection of music bundles is also available, with themes from the Street Fighter saga! They can be acquired using Drive Tickets or Fighter Coins.

  • New character presentation illustrations : new character presentation screens are available to spice up players’ arrival in combat.

  • New equipment : to discover in the Battle Hub store to spruce up your Avatar.
