An “honest mistake”, Jimmie Åkesson has commented on the fact that one of his wedding guests turned out to be the president of a criminal motorcycle gang.
But the leader of the motorcycle gang, Robert Hedarv, has been hanging out with and at the same parties as Åkesson and other SD tops for eight years now. This shows a review by Aftonbladet.
Sweden Democrats party leader Jimmie Åkesson has come into focus because of a specific guest at his wedding a little more than a week ago. The guest, Robert Hedarv, turns out to be a leader of a criminal motorcycle club, reports Aftonbladet, TT and several other media. On X writes Åkesson that it was “an honest mistake” and that neither he nor his wife knew of the man’s criminal connections.
But in a review that The evening paper done, it turns out that Robert Hedarv has both participated in several of Åkesson’s private parties over the years and, through his wife, has had close contact with the party leader’s immediate family for several years.
Been in the same circles since 2016
Hedarv is married to a close friend of Jimmie Åkesson. Although Åkesson claims that he only knows Hedarv superficially and only met him at a number of events, they have been hanging out in the same circles since 2016.
Robert Hedarv has a past in the criminal gangs Bandidos and La Familia. Now he is president of the motorcycle club Comanches, a relatively new gang in Sweden, but an established gang in Denmark where, according to Aftonbladet, they were in conflict with Ismail “Jordgubben” Abdo. He is convicted of various traffic offenses and economic crime. In a report from Acta Publica, it was previously warned about Hedarv’s close ties to several members of the Riksdag.
Hedarv has been seen in pictures of intimate parties such as Åkesson’s private surströmming record, where about 40 people participated, which was organized at the party leader’s home in the garden. According to the newspaper’s review, he has also attended Jimmie Åkesson and his ex-wife Louise Erixon’s annual “glitter party”, which, according to a source for Aftonbladet, was a party for friends and important to the Sweden Democrats.
Has connections to several SD peaks
According to the newspaper, the Comanches president can also be linked to SD leaders such as Chief of Staff Linus Bylund, Richard Jomshof and Mattias Karlsson. On X writes Karlsson, whose ex-wife is married to Hedarv, that he knew about the criminal connections but had not communicated it.
Expo revealed in July that Karlsson had been in contact with Hedarv during his time as acting party leader, something experts have deemed a significant security risk. Jomshof signs X that he knew about Hedarv’s connections to the criminal environment based on Expo’s reporting.
“As for the person with gang connections, I was one of those who drew attention to the writings about him a few months ago. That’s why I also reacted to him being there. However, I realized that this was something that had passed unnoticed by the vast majority, including the bride and groom,” writes the chairman of the justice committee Richard Jomshof on X.
