Now it has happened again!
Just like Nikas Wikegård did many years ago.
Åke Unger has also said the child-forbidden word live and made the whole of hockey Sweden laugh.
It is important to keep your tongue in your mouth when commenting on ice hockey live. Because, as they say, things go quickly in hockey and the risk of things going wrong is therefore very high.
Åke Unger’s miss
Just ask the seasoned commentator Åke Unger who on Thursday evening became a huge talking point in social media for a particular choice of words in the live broadcast. The SHL match between Rögle and Luleå will not go down in history as the most memorable fight.

Rodrigo Abols scored the game’s only goal in the second period and a 1-0 result in hockey speaks volumes about how fun the game really was. But it was all the more fun when the TV4 commentator Unger offered a real frog in the third period.
No children’s word
The Luleå player Oskari Laaksonen fell over at mid-zone and suddenly a child-forbidden word came out of the TV profiler’s mouth. You can also hear how the TV4 colleague Almen Bibic trying his best to hold back his laughter, watch the video below.
– Laaksonen gets knocked over… pushed over! That’s how it can go, says Unger in the live broadcast.

The mistake from the SHL match has been published on X, formerly Twitter, and is spreading throughout hockey Sweden – and everyone loves it.
“What was Åke Unger about to say?”, he writes who posted the video.
“Thank you Unger. First laugh of the day,” writes another on X.
“So this is just TOO fun!”, writes a third.

This isn’t the first time it’s happened in a hockey game either. Niklas Wikegård also just said “omknullkuffad” in an old Tre Kronor match, see that video below.
