A basketball player A’ja Wilson broke the professional series WNBA’s single-season point record. The Las Vegas Acesis center has scored 956 points in 35 regular season games this season.
The new record was set on Wednesday when Las Vegas faced the Indiana Fever.
Wilson broke By Jewell Loyd the record held in his name (939 points in 38 games) just before halftime of the match. The record of Loyd, representing the Seattle Storm, was from 2023.
Wilson, who was on the sidelines due to an ankle problem in the previous game, scored a total of 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds on Wednesday. Las Vegas won the match with a score of 86–75.
