Airport Heathrow open as usual after fire

The huge Airport Heathrow opened with reduced traffic during Friday night. On Saturday, the aircraft is now operated again as usual, says the airport for Reuters.

Travelers are encouraged to come to the airport as usual before their departure. However, several airlines warn that the shutdown may have consequences for several days to come for travelers, writes The Guardian.

It was a fire late Thursday evening that caused a comprehensive power outage and forced the airport to keep completely closed for much of Friday.

The incident affected hundreds of thousands of travelers and over 1,350 flights who would have resigned or arrived at the airport.
