US President Joe Biden, criticizing the situation of airports in the country, said that they will allocate some funds from the infrastructure package approved last year to the renewal of terminals at these airports and to reduce carbon emissions.
In his speech at Boston’s Logan Airport, Biden promoted the $62 million investment to be made here.
Stating that the international terminal of the airport will be modernized and the runways will be developed within the scope of the said investment, Biden stated that with the investment to be made here, they will provide almost an additional 6 thousand employments.
Biden said, “No airport in America is among the top 25 in the world. Why is this important to us? It means trade, it means income, it means security, and we can’t even be in the top 25 in the world.” used the phrase.
Pointing out that countries such as China have caught up with the US economically due to the lack of infrastructure investments in recent years, Biden said that they have finally signed an infrastructure package of 1 trillion dollars and that they can invest billions of dollars in airports within this scope.
