More flights, more timetables and therefore more connection possibilities for travelers. Because Casablanca and Dakar are two major regional hubs. Cooperation between Air Senegal and Royal Air Maroc is also being strengthened with the signing of a “codeshare” agreement, i.e. the possibility for customers to book tickets with both companies and travel on one or the other indifferently.

Other areas of collaboration are affected by the agreement, for example maintenance, training or even the digitalization of services

Senegal and Morocco maintain excellent diplomatic and economic relations, and consider themselves to be “ sister countries “. The kingdom has also been pursuing a south/south cooperation strategy for several years.

Royal Air Maroc has been present in Senegal since 1958 and the year of the opening of the Casablanca-Dakar line. It is the most active African company in Senegal, after Air Senegal, and wants to position itself as a reference on the African continent.

Air Senegal, for its part, has existed since 2016 and is seeking a leading position in the West African market, but has encountered financial and technical difficulties in recent months.
