According to the information obtained by the AA correspondent from the scene, the vehicle driven by Hashd al-Shaabi commander Saadi was targeted with an air strike in the Meshtel region, where Shiites live in the east of Baghdad.
It was noted that Saadi, who was in the vehicle, died in the attack.
“NO TO AMERICA”
A group of local people gathered at the scene and chanted “No to America” slogans.
While Iraqi security forces took extensive security measures in the area where the fire trucks arrived, the targeted vehicle was seen engulfed in flames in the images published on social media.
NO EXPLANATION WAS MADE
The Iraqi government has not yet made any statement regarding the issue.
