Almtuna really totally dominated in the first period and when the teams went to rest the shot statistics were an improbable 20-0 to the home team.
The score in the goal was still “only” 1-0 after William Falkenhäll, 18, scored his first goal in the first team.
– It feels absolutely incredible. It’s a dream. First professional goal. It’s big, he says.
The second period was not much of a shot for AIK, but they were incredibly effective. In five shots they scored two goals and turned it around with a power play goal by Daniel Muzito-Bagenda and a neat shot in a numerical disadvantage by Christoffer Björk.
– It was not a good period at all. It was deplorable. Glad we shook it off and got into the match, says Gynge.
Almtuna’s returning veteran Nicklas Danielsson was very disappointed after the match.
– I think we are giving the match away. We own the first period in total. It’s a bit unnecessary.
