AIK beat Södertälje at Hovet: “We are good right now”

AIK has had a real boost under Roger Melin and continued to play well in front of the home supporters when the team took on county rival Södertälje at Hovet. The first period ended goalless, but 16 seconds into the middle period the score was broken when Oskar Magnusson headed in 1–0 for AIK. Daniel Muzito Bagenda then extended it to 2-0 after which SSK scored a reduction through Olli Vainio, who shot hard from the blue line. Effective in the powerplay 2–1 AIK before the third. And the home team continued to play well – five minutes into the final period they made it 3-1 through Gerry Fitzgerald on the power play. Oscar Nord then led 4–1 on a nice pass from Muzito Baenda.
