The soccer podcast Studio Allsvenskan has released a new Monday episode – which means that Marcus Birro, Henrik Eriksson and Hugo Månsson talks down, discusses and analyzes all the weekend’s matches from the Allsvenskan.
Superior derby kings
AIK hosted Hammarby at the Strawberry Arena and defeated the rivals 1-0 after a late decision by the star John Guidetti.
Studio Allsvenskan states that AIK are superior derby kings after yet another triumph in a derby.
Carefree Djurgården
Djurgården went to Värnamo, took the lead 1-0 late in the match, but lost at the last moment to 1-1.
Why did it look so listless?
They have secured the gold
The reigning champions Malmö FF welcomed Mjällby to Eleda Stadium. Would it be another blast of Mjällby from Listerlandet? No, Malmö made the process short and defeated the visitors 2-0 in the end.
MFF now leads the Allsvenskan with 10 points to league runner-up Djurgården – and Studio Allsvenskan states that Malmö has already secured the gold.
Kalmar leaves the Allsvenskan
Kalmar took an early lead at home against Elfsborg… but the visitors managed to pick up and completely turn the game around. The final score was 3-1 and Elfsborg is in the battle for the European places.
Kalmar is thus still in the bottom of the table – and Studio Allsvenskan judges the Småland’s chances of staying there. It will be the Superettan next season.
