Ai Weiwei has gained attention for criticizing the Chinese government, and among the objects he is now exhibiting are remnants of the porcelain sculptures destroyed when his Beijing studio was demolished in 2018.
Among the objects are also 1,600 Stone Age tools, 10,000 cannonballs from the Chinese Song Dynasty and Lego bricks that Weiwei previously used for portraits of political prisoners.
The exhibition, called “Making Sense”, will run until July 30.
A number of Ai Weiwei’s works have been exhibited in Sweden over the years, including in Örebro in 2015 and in central Stockholm in the summer of 2022.
