Artificial intelligence permeates every aspect of our daily lives. Its influence even extends into the world of dating. In fact, singles use AI to optimize their profile on dating applications, reveals a recent American study.
According to a recent study conducted by Match and researchers at the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University (United States), more and more singles in love are using artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots to improve their profiles on dating apps.
According to this survey, 14% of dating app users use AI. Among them, 43% admit to having used it to write their profile on dating applications, while 37% say they have written their first message using AI.
For Helen Fisher, lead researcher of the study, we are witnessing the start of a new trend: “Artificial Intelligence Helps Singles Connect More Effectively”, she declares in a Press release. She adds: “This is likely just the beginning, because among men and women who have used AI for online dating, 32% say AI helped them get better matches and meet potential partners more quickly.
Conversely, others prefer authenticity in their interactions with AI. Nearly 50% of singles would be against the idea of meeting someone who uses AI and 39% would be opposed to a potential partner using AI in all conversations.

This survey, entitled “Singles in America” was carried out among a representative sample of 5,000 singles aged 18 to 77. The researchers asked them about their use of AI, and how it affects their intimate relationships.
