In the song, titled “Heart On My Sleeve,” the two stars’ AI-generated voices take turns singing about pop star and actor Selena Gomez, who previously dated The Weeknd.
The person claiming to be behind the song, known as @ghostwriter, claims it was created by software trained on the musicians’ voices.
“This is just the beginning,” writes @ghostwriter under the song’s YouTube video.
Since the song was posted on Friday last week, it has been viewed more than 8.5 million times on Tiktok and the long version has more than 250,000 plays on Spotify.
Neither artist has so far commented on the song, but Drake has recently expressed displeasure with his voice being cloned in other contexts.
