Intesa stress test results confirm solidity even in complex scenarios

(Finance) – Intesa Sanpaolo comments on the Antitrust decision to open an investigation on the Isybank case and declares himself available to collaborate with the Authority, believing “to have operated in compliance with the applicable legislation, including communication to its customers”.

“We have the maximum respect for the AGCM and, as has always happened, we are immediately willing to collaborate in the examination and solution of the issues posed by the Authority, in the best interests of customers” states the Bank, adding that “even in this specific operation with highly innovative contents, it seems appropriate to underline that Intesa Sanpaolo, as always, places at the center what customers require and expect. This results in a continuous listening activity, with a systematic dialogue with all the customers who have switched to Isybank, to get their feedback and give them all the necessary explanations”.

A spokesperson for the Group has meanwhile reported that the reports involved a very limited number of customers: out of a total of 300 thousand customers for a total collection of 1.7 billion, only 1,500 they would have formulated one request to return to Intesa Sanpaolo.

“To date i customers who have expressed a complaint to us are very limited compared to the overall numbers and we will address each situation individually to offer an adequate solution in line with customer needs”, stated the spokesperson, continuing “what encourages us in this innovative and important initiative of our Group is the number of new customers of Isybank coming from the market, which in a few weeks have exceeded the 50,000and for this the goal of 1 million new customers appears easily achievableconfirming the highly advanced technological components and the convenience of the bank’s economic conditions”.
