Agnetha Fältskog releases new album

On the British radio channel BBC 2, Agnetha Fältskog told host Zoe Ball on Thursday that she initially felt a great deal of hesitation before entering the studio again.

-For me it felt like “should I really do this?” But I did it. As usual, we didn’t know if the voice was still there, but it was, Fältskog said and continued:

-I’m not so young anymore, I’m very grateful that I still have my voice and a good composer next to me.

Agnetha Fältskog has also this time worked together with the songwriter and producer Jörgen Elofsson, who wrote the music for “A”. The idea with the remix was to give “A” a completely new sound, according to Agnetha Fältskog.

“A gift”

But “A+” also contains new “Where do we go from here”. Jörgen Elofsson describes the song as “a gift”.

– It wasn’t really that we wrote it, it just came to us, he says. Agnetha Fältskog first heard a demo where a young girl sang the new song.

-I thought: “I’ll never do this”, but then I said: “okay, I’ll do it”. And it went very well, she says.

50 years since Waterloo

Next year it will be 50 years since Abba won the Eurovision Song Contest with “Waterloo”. Asked if the group will participate at ESC in Malmö this spring, she did not deliver any news:

-You never know anything about Abba, but I don’t say anything about it.
