Agneta Isacsson from Oskarshamn did not start running until late in life. Three years ago, she found out about a concept called “runstreak”, which in short means running an English mile, equivalent to approximately 1.6 kilometers, every day. Today, Agneta Isacsson celebrates that she ran every day for three years.
– I also run in the hospital, I’ve been in hospital a lot and then they think you’re a bit funny, says Agneta Isacsson and laughs.
Running despite illness
Agneta lives with a chronic disease, familial adenomatous polyposis, FAP, which has caused her to have to undergo several operations.
– When I’ve been in hospital, I’ve had to run at five past twelve at night, then I’ve run for the whole day. Then I don’t run again until twenty to twelve the next time, and by then it’s been almost two days.
The year 2022 ends for Agneta with a round in the center of Oskarshamn together with some of her friends.
