Desirée Jaks was in Kokkarna Kamp for the first time in 2021, when she was the competition’s youngest contestant ever.
– It’s fun to challenge yourself and try things you don’t usually do. And doing things you might not be very good at that are a little different, she said in connection with her participation in The evening paper.
In 2024, she competes in the Chefs’ Battle All Star. There she meets the skilled chefs Thomas Sjögren, Louise Johansson, Håkan Thörnström, Jonas Lagerström, Tea Malmegård, David Enmark, Jessie Sommarström, Erik Videgård and Nils Molinder as well as the challengers Tommy Myllymäki, Tareq Taylor and Daniel Couette.

Does Desirée Jaks have a restaurant?
Desirée Jaks is head chef and creative manager at the rooftop restaurant Spesso in central Stockholm. Before that, she worked as a chef and head chef at the Agrikultur restaurant, and was there when they got their first Michelin star.
– The Michelin star was something that we worked hard for and to receive that recognition for our work was fantastic. It was definitely not the goal from the beginning as I am still so young. But it’s something that makes me have the strength to keep fighting and develop even more, Desirée added FFCR.
