WandaVision is filled with many mysteries and theories that have Marvel fans excited. In particular, speculation that Mephisto is the villain behind the Westview events is one of the most talked about topics of the series. However, Mephisto’s name was not even mentioned until the finale of the series and these theories came to nothing. Now Agatha All Along series gives new clues about the Mephisto connection. In last week’s episode of the series, Jennifer Kale’s mention that Agatha Harkness changed her baby with the Darkhold and rumors that Nicholas Scratch could be “Mephisto’s Agent” brought up the possibility of Mephisto’s inclusion in the Marvel Cinematic Universe again.
Mephisto’s Role in Agatha All Along
Agatha All Along showrunner Jac Schaeffergave important clues about this mysterious Easter egg in his statements to The Wrap. Schaeffer stated that he did not know who Mephisto was during WandaVision and did not understand how a label on a wine bottle triggered this theory, which did not appear in the series. However, later in the series, he explained that Mephisto’s name was brought up on purpose. He stated that in the scene in Episode 3, he and executive producer Mary Livanos thought that mentioning Mephisto’s name would have a great resonance for Marvel fans, and that’s why they made this decision.

When asked whether Mephisto would take part in future projects, Schaeffer did not give a definitive answer, saying, “I can neither confirm nor deny.” However, Jennifer confirmed that this Easter egg was placed on purpose, stating that the scene between Kale and Teen was related to the rumors about Agatha. This scene may be a sign that Mephisto will play an increasingly important role in the Marvel universe.
Will We See Mephisto in the Future?
We wonder what projects Mephisto will take part in in the future. In recent rumors, Mephisto in the Ironheart series will play an important role and the famous comedian Sacha Baron CohenIt was claimed that he would portray this iconic villain. However, these rumors have not been confirmed yet. Although Jac Schaeffer did not provide any information on this subject, she hinted that Mephisto could be fully included in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In the same interview, Schaeffer was also asked if Sharon Davis, aka Miss Hart, was the first missing person on Witches Lane. Her answer to this question excited fans because she stated that Ms. Hart’s fate is uncertain and death is not always a final ending in the Marvel universe.
