Soest – Again dozens of Soesters are conducting a silent protest at the town hall in Soest this evening. They believe that the municipality is making plans to receive too many Ukrainian refugees, and that the plan is a disguised housing project. According to the municipality, the participation meeting scheduled for tonight can no longer be physically organized due to ‘roughening of manners’, but will now be a digital meeting. “The neighborhood thinks this is madness,” says Bart Weiland, local resident and initiator of the protest.
