Aftonbladet Oliver Kapanen was injured in the Swedish hockey league

Finnish national team forward Oliver Kapanen, who plays for the Timrå team in the Swedish hockey league SHL, was injured in Saturday’s league round.

Timrå beat Skellefteå 4-1 in the hockey SHL in their home arena, but Oliver Kapanen had to leave the game in the second period, reports Aftonbladet.

Timrå led the match 2-1, while Skellefteån Oscar Nilsson drew Kapanen’s undoing in the second set. Kapanen, who struggled with five Skellefteå players in the away team’s goal, seemed to hit his head on the ice and left the match.

– It wasn’t particularly nicely done, hockey commentator Joel Lundqvist referred to Nilsson’s act for TV4.

Serves as the head coach of Timrå, which is fourth in the series Olli Jokinen.
