Interest in the cinema is great and something that several people in the pensioners’ council wanted. Several of the pensioners today go to the cinema in Skoghall, which is 63 kilometers away, when they want to watch a movie.
– Meeting places and the social network that it creates are very important for both young and old, says Vanja Persson, CEO of Munkfors association and conference center.
Opening later this year
The former technology that was used until the closure in 2011 is still in place in the cinema, although it will be replaced by new digital technology.
– I don’t know what year it is from, says Mathias Lindquist about the earlier technology.
The cinema is expected to open to the public sometime in the spring or summer.
