Water consumption is high right now in several municipalities and Vatten- och mijöresurs water works are working at full capacity to be able to produce drinking water. Some water plants are close to their technical capacity, says the company’s CEO Rickard Stenberg
– It is a strained situation and that is why we have recently issued a sharp call that we need to be economical with water, says Rickard Stenberg.
Therefore, they are now issuing what they call a “sharp warning” that an irrigation ban may be introduced.
Krokom’s and Åre’s municipalities also urge their residents to use water sparingly.
