On Friday, it was announced that the introduction of the new records system Millennium is being paused.
– Now over the weekend, intensive work has been going on to be able to return to the old systems, says regional director Håkan Sandahl to SVT Nyheter Väst.
The assessment is made that primary care can return on Monday, but that the hospital that uses a different system can return on Tuesday.
– It is demanding to go back as well, but we are confident in going back to systems we used before, says regional director Håkan Sandahl.
How hard is it to go back?
– When you make major changes linked to IT systems, there can always be unexpected effects. What we want to do now is to try to minimize deviations, and we think it is wise to make a gradual return for affected businesses, says Håkan Sandahl.
What happens to Millennium now?
– We had an unfortunate start with a development we had not expected. We must first establish a dialogue with the parties concerned and then we must come back in more detail on how we intend to proceed. Millennium is still there so we can work on improvements, says regional director Håkan Sandahl.
