After the ship attack in Crimea: Russia seeks informants

According to the Ukrainian resistance movement, Russia has stepped up the search for partisans after the attack on the military ship Novocherkassk on the Crimean Peninsula.
“The occupiers are looking for informants who they believe are monitoring the port,” writes the resistance movement.

It is the Center of National Resistance (CNR) that stated that the Russian occupation forces in Crimea are looking for informants after the large military landing ship Novocherkassk was damaged in a Ukrainian robot attack on December 26.

According to them, Russia is seeking informants while trying to prevent more information about the extent of the damage from leaking out.

Ukrainian resistance movement writing on that Russia’s actions at the port in the city of Feodosija are increasingly “resembling hysteria”, while urging people within the resistance movement to provide more information via a link. Anonymity is guaranteed, it says.

Novocherkassk – damaged or sunk?

After the attack, Russia admitted that one of its ships was damaged in the Ukrainian attack. It was also stated that one person was killed and one injured in the attack.

According to the Ukrainian military, the ship was completely destroyed.

Video clips of the explosion indicate that the munitions on the ship exploded, according to Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Juril Ihnat – indicating extensive damage.

After the Ukrainian attack left two to Russian ships the port of Feodosija, according to the Kyiv Independent.

About the ship Novocherkassk

Novocherkassk is a 112 meter long ship in the Russian Black Sea Fleet that has been reported as damaged earlier in the war as well.

It is used to transport troops, vehicles and armored vehicles.

The ship was hit in a Ukrainian attack off the town of Feodosija (south coast of Crimea) on 26 December.
