Around midsummer, the number of residents in Borgholm more than tenfold and instead of just over 10,000 inhabitants, they will be one of the country’s most densely populated municipalities until the beginning of August. And many of the visitors are party hungry. Complaints from residents in the city center have been recurring – last year, for example, about 20 reports were made. Now the municipality hopes to address the noise problems with clear decibel levels and increased dialogue with the restaurant owners and residents.
