When Peter Gerhardsson presented the national team squad for upcoming Nations League matches, Rosengård’s Olivia Schough was missing again. Schough, with 109 international matches on his merit list, has thus not been selected for the national team since the World Cup earlier this summer.
However, Schough answered Gerhardsson’s poke in the best way possible. The 32-year-old scored the 3-0 goal when Rosengård was ready for the group stage in the Champions League. The winger met a pass from Hanna Andersson and was able to distinctly push the ball behind Jefimija Skandro in the Subotica goal.
The new acquisition behind everything
Before that, new summer signings Mai Kadowaki and Hanna Andersson had opened the scoring. Andersson, who was recruited from Piteå earlier this summer, was noted for a goal and two assists during the evening.
Olivia Holdt and Gudrun Arnardottir added in the final minutes and the final score was finally settled at a clear 5-1 and 7-2 on aggregate.
Now the group stage awaits for Rosengård. The groups are now drawn on Friday where you can be pitted against big teams such as Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Chelsea.
