The blackboard made him angry.

But a secret gift from Putin made Trump happy again.

– He was noticeably moved.

He really hates it.

And the tablet now means that the whole world has seen the relatively unknown portrait hanging on the wall of Colorado’s state parliament.

Gift from Putin

But now patches on the wounds from Moscow come. A new portrait that must have fallen much better in taste.

Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff was honored to drag home the secret gift to the US President from Putin.

He describes the portrait as “a beautiful portrait” painted by “a prominent Russian artist”, writes the BBC.

But still, Witkoff did not want to review the work, says the TV channel.

“Personal gift”

– He was noticeably moved, says the envoy.

The gift is confirmed by the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who says it is “a personal gift” from the Russian president and that only Putin has the right to further reveal details about the portrait.

It has not yet been shown publicly.

Witkoff, who met Putin in Moscow ten days ago, tells the BBC that he was very friendly during the meeting and stated, among other things, that he had asked for Donald Trump after the attempted murder in Pennsylvania during the electoral movement.

The American envoy got a lot of criticism At home since he said he “takes Putin on the words” during the conversations before a possible peace settlement.

“Deliberately distorted”

In an interview with Fox News where Witkoff was pressed into the image of Putin as a tyrant whose “political opponents often die” the envoy struck back and said he “never participated in a situation where there are not two sides of the same coin”.

The portrait of Colorado, which was unveiled in 2019, is painted by British artist Sarah Boardman, who has depicted several other presidents.

Trump accuses her of “deliberately distorted” his appearance “to a level that may never have been seen before”.

The BBC suggests that it may be the fullness of the president’s face that triggered the anger. The TV channel states that Trump, according to his own statement, dropped almost 14 kilos during the election campaign because he was very busy “and was not able to eat that much”.

On Monday night, it was decided that the portrait would be taken down after the president’s anger.
