After the murder in Borlänge: The police want help in the investigation

– We think that more people may have made observations that could be important to us, says Rebecca Roos, director of serious crimes in Dalarna.

It was around 19:30 on April 26 that a 24-year-old man was shot to death in a car on Hagalund in central Borlänge with several shots. Several people are suspected of being involved and a total of three people are in custody.

One of the people is detained in his absence and is believed to be abroad and is internationally wanted.

Is there any connection to gang crime here?

– It is close to hand to suspect that it is some kind of criminal settlement that is the basis for this, says Rebecca Roos.

This is how the shooter is believed to have moved

According to the police, witness statements indicate that the shooter fled between the houses on Tångringsgatan and then continued out into the intersection of Industrigatan and Engelbrektsgatan. There, according to the police, the perpetrator is very likely to have been picked up by a car.

“We think more people may have made observations”

As the police cannot rule out that there are more perpetrators involved in the murder, they now want anyone who may have made observations that can be linked to the incident to contact them on 114 14.

– This happened on a weekday evening in an area where a lot of people live and work, so we believe that more people may have made observations that could be important for us to learn about. It can be people or vehicles that you have seen that you may not attach any importance to at the time, but which can be of importance, says Rebecca Roos.
