– It is a tough situation, but now we have put the cards on the table and now it is about grabbing it, says Erik Nordqvist, club manager for FC.

Last fall, among other things, they began to check through personnel costs.
– Unfortunately, we have had to say hello to colleagues who have been employed over the years, which is boring, he says.
Appeals for help
The club has previously appealed for help, as in the autumn of 2022 when the economy was strained. With a million deficit, the club now needs support to continue playing football at the elite level.
– We try to have a dialogue with our sponsors, we talk to the municipality. We need Linköping’s support, says the club manager.
How do you look at the future?
– I still look bright for the future. Linköping is Sweden’s fifth largest city, and that we could not have an elite football team at the top level I think is crazy. I think we should be able to gather the whole city, ”says Erik Nordqvist.
