After the end of the season, CoD professionals complain about Vanguard

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

The last tournament of the “Call of Duty: League” season of CoD: Vanguard is over. This means that e-sportsmen can now freely express themselves about the game and use this directly to rail against Vanguard.

Call of Duty: Vanguard failed to live up to fans’ expectations upon release. According to the developer, there were two reasons why the game didn’t run so well:

  • The community didn’t like the WWII setting
  • The players were hoping for more innovations in the game than actually existed
  • Here you can find an article why CoD Vanguard sold so badly.

E-athletes also seem to be dissatisfied with the latest part of the series. After the e-sports season in CoD ended with a tournament in Los Angeles, some professionals commented negatively on CoD: Vanguard on Twitter.

Here you can see a trailer for the upcoming part of the CoD series:

What was that event? The Call of Duty Championship Weekend ran from August 4th to 7th, 2022. An esports event held at the Galen Center in Los Angeles that ended the esports season.

In the tournament, eight teams competed against each other in CoD: Vanguard. Sunday’s final was for first place and $1.2 million US (about 1.17 million euros). In the end, the Los Angeles Thieves team won. Second was “Atlanta FaZe”.

What did the esports players say? Now that the last game is over, players can speak out about CoD without fear of consequences. They took advantage of that and wrote their reviews of CoD: Vanguard on Twitter after the tournament:

  • @aBeZy (Team Atlanta FaZe): “Thank god I never have to play that crappy CoD again. Literally the worst game I’ve ever played.” (via Twitter)
  • @Standy (Minnesota RØKKR) confirms @aBeZy criticism: “can agree”
  • @Clayster (Subliners NYXL): “Dude it’s so bad LMAO” (via Twitter)
  • What does the community on Twitter have to say about this? Under criticism from esports players, users agree:

  • @reckerr_xo: “Facts upon facts upon facts”.
  • @Lennyofffill2: “Someone had to say that crap”.
  • @11Kyrie_G: “Lmaoo damn”
  • @CuylwrGarland: “Preach it to Abe, we’ve seen your frustrations all year. Come back stronger next year.”
  • The game doesn’t seem to be going down well with either the professionals or the community at the moment. The new part of the series should appear in autumn: CoD: Modern Warfare 2.

It remains to be seen whether the successor will do better than CoD: Vanguard and meet the expectations of the community.
