On Sunday, Brøndby and FCK faced off in a Copenhagen derby. But before the match, boring scenes unfolded. Brøndby supporters rushed towards the away section and it was the start of a scandal. Pyrotechnic pieces were thrown at one section and the response was that the Bengals were driven back in the opposite direction. The police stepped in and formed a barricade between the supporters. This has consequences. The Divisionsforeningen announces that the future Copenhagen derby will be played without an away crowd for an indefinite period of time. The decision is backed by FC Copenhagen. “We accept the decision and support the intentions – all tools must be tested in this process,” writes FCK in a statement.
