The home supporters and the supporters from Helsingborg were on the same long side of Jordbrovallen with a barrier between the groups. According to a supporter police on site, the away supporters started throwing snowballs at Jönköping Södra’s heel. After that, riots and fights broke out, some of which took place inside the field, which meant that the match had to be abandoned.
Felt threatened
The now convicted man has stated that he felt threatened by three Helsingborg supporters and therefore ran onto the pitch. However, video footage from the incident shows the man involved in a commotion with the away supporters before backing off the pitch.
Therefore, the man is sentenced to 30 daily fines of a total of SEK 8,400 for violating the Public Order Act.
