After the beta, your once most unpopular class is number 2

Beef is the best Netflix series of the year so

It is a well-known fact that expectations and reality can differ widely. So after the Diablo 4 beta, we wanted to know how you liked the announced classes.

After the announcement of all Diablo 4 classes, we asked you in a poll which of them sounded the most exciting and fun to you. Many of you answered us and set up a popularity ranking.

But in March you all finally had the opportunity to test all the classes yourself. During the two betas you had access to all 5 classes and could check whether your expectations of the classes were met.

That’s why we started a new poll after the beta and wanted to know if your opinion has changed now. The new ranking is the result of your vote.

5th place: Barbarian

This is the barbarian: The barbarians are the only pure melee fighters in Diablo 4 and are accordingly well equipped. With up to 4 different weapons, between which you can switch fluently in battle, you send your opponents to the afterlife. They use their own anger as a resource.

Even before the beta, the barbarian was not doing particularly well in the polls. In our class poll on MeinMMO, only the sorceress was less popular than the barbarian, which put him in 4th place. But after the beta, the sorceress experienced a strong rise.

As a result, the barbarian slipped further down to last place. For fans of the class, however, there is still hope that it will be more fun and, above all, as a melee fighter on the front lines. There are still a few months until the release and therefore some time for further balance adjustments.

4th place: Druid

This is the druid: They wield nature’s wrath in their attacks and have access to earth and wind magic. But the special quality of the druids is their ability to transform into animals. As werewolves and bears, they use their claws and fangs to shred their enemies.

Although the druid is one of the 3 classes that were introduced first, its skills and its class specificity were unknown for a long time. But that didn’t stop fans from really looking forward to the druid.

In our first poll, the class landed straight at number 2, but after the beta, some were disappointed with their gameplay experience. There was a lot of criticism of the druid and he also slipped to fourth place on MeinMMO.

3rd place: Huntress

This is the huntress: The Huntress is also one of the long-established Diablo classes. With her versatile skills, she can cause a lot of damage both in close combat and from afar. There are also bombs, traps and enchantments that she can put on her weapons.

With this, the Slayer can either freeze, poison, or shred her opponents with the power of the shadows. The fast class also proved in the beta that you could create a world boss at level 25 alone with their builds.

In our previous poll, the Slayer also came in at number 3. Your impressions of the beta probably confirmed this ranking again, as it has retained its place.

2nd place: sorceress

This is the sorceress: What would a Diablo be without a mage class. Diablo 4 also has sorcerers, with whom you can either burn, freeze, or throw lightning at your opponents.

According to the developer, the sorceress should be a glass cannon that can dish out a lot but take little. This was not confirmed during the beta tests, because the class could do both. Thanks to her skill kit, she was capable of strong attacks, but she could also shine with robust shields.

Before the beta, you didn’t ask for the sorceress at all. In our previous ranking, she ended up in last place. But during the two beta tests in March, she was able to convince you with her skills, her power and her versatility, which brought her straight to number 2.

1st place: Necromancer

This is the Necromancer: If, like my dear colleague Maurice Weber, you prefer to let others fight for you in Diablo 4, then the Necromancer and his small army of skeletons are the right choice. On top of that there are various curses and blood magic, and the great dark cocktail of death and ruin is ready.

Since its announcement, the Necromancer has been the unbeatable favorite among the Diablo 4 classes. Both on MeinMMO and among our colleagues at GameStar, the Necromancer has repeatedly been voted first place.

The beta tests have only confirmed its place at the top. With its fun builds in which you curse your opponents or have them fight against hordes of undead henchmen, the class convinces on all levels.
